5 Reasons You Should Be Attending Crush Festival
It’s no secret that here at My Friend Jane, we love our wine. Red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, we love it all… we’re South Australians after all. With the Adelaide Hills Wine Region housing some of our favourite wines, there’s no guessing where we’ll be spending this Australia Day long weekend… Crush Festival. Crush Festival is the Adelaide Hills Wine Region’s biggest event of the year. 30 wineries spanning from Inglewood to Macclesfield participate in this sensory summer weekend of stylish wines, regional produce, amazing music, art and theatre. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it!? Check out the fun we had last year!
Adelaide Hills Wine Region Presents #CRUSH2020
If you haven’t started planning your Australia Day long weekend excursions, the time is now. Here are five reasons to get your stylish, wine-loving butt to Crush Festival this year.
It’s a long weekend
That’s right, you can go hard at Crush Festival, hit up 2 full days of Adelaide Hills winery amazingness and STILL have another day to recover. You still get to hang out at your friend’s BBQ and listen to the Triple J Hottest 100, just with a couple of extra bottles of amazing wine in hand. So, why not make the most of this long weekend?
Stock up on wine
A Jane’s favourite place to discover a delicious new drop has got to be the cellar door. We love that feeling of someone who knows their wines back to front, telling you what they love about it and hand-picking wines they think you’ll love too. Adelaide Hills wines are some of the best in the world, why not discover some new varieties in 2020!
Support the Adelaide Hills
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the Adelaide Hills Wine Region took a massive hit in the recent bushfires. So, tell me, is there a better time for you to get your crew up there and support your state? I don’t think so. And, its’s not just wine you get to stock up on, it’s delicious products like cheese, meats and olive oils. If you don’t finish your day with a huge basket of amazing produce and wine, your taste buds will be forever furious at you.
See your girlfriends
I’ve heard it said that adult female relationships are just saying “oh I can’t do this weekend, what about next week?” over and over again until you die. Admit it, we’ve all been there. With so many fabulous events happening across the Adelaide Hills Wine Region over the weekend, there’s no excuse for not finding a time to schedule in some serious girl time.
Explore South Australia
Besides the popular wine tour spots like Bird in Hand (still amazing), how much of the Adelaide Hills Wine Region have you actually explored? With all of these exciting events on offer, there’s no time like the Australia Day long weekend to get out there and discover a new winery. You never know, your new favourite wine could be sitting there waiting for you.
